DR. MARC COOPER
The Mastery Company; President/Founder

Dr. Cooper's 30 years of consulting and coaching dental clients includes solo private practice, small partnered practice, managed group practice, retail corporate enterprises, dental academies and dental associations. Dr. Cooper has also worked with senior executives and boards in the dental industry; insurance companies, clearing houses, bio-technical companies, professional associations and disease management companies. Dr. Cooper, along with a group of industry professionals, organized and held the first SUMMIT in 2013 in Seattle Washington. The 2016 SUMMIT is the fifth SUMMIT event and draws global attendees each year.

STEPHEN E. THORNE IV
Pacific Dental Services/Founder, President & CEO

Stephen E. Thorne, IV, B.A., M.H.A., is Founder, President and CEO of Pacific Dental Services, a dental support organization (DSO) established in 1994 and headquartered in Irvine, California. PDS currently provides business services to nearly 450 supported practices throughout California, Arizona, Nevada, Colorado, Idaho, Oregon, Washington, Texas, Utah, New Mexico, Missouri, Kansas, Georgia and Minnesota.

Pacific Dental Services was borne on the fundamental belief that the company would be the best choice for practicing dentists through the development of efficient platforms, dedication to effective quality support services, and a commitment to maximizing individual and professional God-given potential.

Mr. Thorne was instrumental in forming the Association of Dental Support Organizations (formerly the Dental Group Practice Association) which represents some of the largest DSOs in the world, and served as the founding President for the first three years. He is currently serving as Vice President.

STEVEN BILT
One Smile LLC/Co-Founder & CEO

Steve Bilt is Chief Executive Officer and co-Founder of One Smile LLP. Prior to that, he was President & Chief Executive Officer of Smile Brands (2000 until 2014). As co-founder of Smile Brands, Steve also served as the company's Chief Financial Officer from inception in May 1998 through 1999 and was Founder and Chairman of the Smiles for Everyone Foundation from its inception in 2005 until 2014.

There are those who have ‘been there, done that.’ There are those leaders that are truly authentic, stand in responsibility, operate with integrity, and generate enterprises that rock the industry. Entrepreneurs who can move vision to reality. Steve is one of those rare individuals.

DR. QUINN DUFURRENA
Association of Dental Support Organizations; Executive Director

Dr. Dufurrena possesses a rich career in dentistry including serving in the Navy's Dental Corps, teaching at dental schools, serving as an ADA Hillenbrand Fellow and director of two state dental associations. 

"It has become a mission of mine to help answer the many challenges dentists are facing in this economic and regulatory environment, and my first step is creating awareness on the advantages of the DSO model. In order to do this, my course of action for ADSO revolves around three key contentions: ethics, metrics and innovation.

"This means we build on the ADSO's current code of ethics, identify data that truly defines our dental divide and offer innovative ideas to dentists around the country to help them collaborate we us as we tackle the issues facing dentistry, no matter the organizational structure."

DR. BRENT CORBRIDGE
Blue Tree Dental/Managing Partner

Dr. Brent Corbridge, DMD, MSD, is Managing Partner of Blue Tree Dental and Senior Partner with Orthodontic Partners in Reno Nevada. Dr. Corbridge is passionate about his profession and considers it a privilege to work with his team and patients. He is part of an exclusive group of 150 orthodontists across the nation who are committed to sharing ideas in order to provide the best, most cutting edge treatments for their patients.

DR. SULMAN AHMED
DECA Dental Group/Founder & CEO

In 2008, Dr. Ahmed opened his first dental office and set out to create a truly patient centered model. His belief in putting patients first is the fundamental backbone in DECA Dental’s core values and patient care delivery model. Ensuring adequate training for doctors, the very best materials being placed in the patient’s mouth, weekend hours and multiple specialists working under one roof are just the beginning of his vision. Today that vision has grown to over 40 locations with over 70 dentists and specialists serving our patients.

Under Dr. Ahmed’s leadership DECA Dental has received many honors and awards. Some of the more notable ones are being recognized as Inc. Magazine’s Top 5000 fastest growing companies and being selected by D Magazine as Dallas-Fort worth’s Premier Dental Group. Additionally, the Dallas Business Journal recognized DECA Dental as one the top 100 companies in the region.

ED LHEE
New Harbor Capital/Partner

Ed Lhee, a Partner and Co-Founder at New Harbor Capital, was previously a Partner at CHS Capital responsible for leading the firm’s healthcare investment activity. Prior to joining CHS, he was with Morgan Stanley & Co. in the M&A and Corporate Finance Groups. Mr. Lhee holds a B.S. and B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania and earned an MBA from Northwestern University.

KARAN GARG
Houlihan Lokey/Senior Vice President

Mr. Garg is a Senior Vice President in Houlihan Lokey’s Healthcare Group. He has more than a decade of healthcare investment banking and private equity experience, including seven years at Houlihan Lokey. During his career, Mr. Garg has closed more than 25 healthcare transactions, including buyside and sellside M&A transactions, as well as private financing and equity raise transactions for public and private companies. Mr. Garg’s notable recent clients include Interactive Health Solutions, Dental Care Alliance, Deca Dental Group, DentMall, Gentle Dental of New England, ABILITY Network, MedHOK Healthcare Solutions, H.C. Materials, maxIT Healthcare, Calloway Labs, IEE, MWH Global, NextiraOne Group, Celsis, Accumed Home Health, CareFusion Technologies, Select Rehabilitation and SourceOne Healthcare Technologies. 

DOUG ROZSA
Practice Pathways/National Sales Director

Doug Rozsa currently is the national sales director of Practice Pathways, a Professional Finance Division of Zions Bank, which focuses on lending to professionals such as dentists. Practice Pathways lends for a variety of purposes and is very good at lending to multi-practice owners.

Doug has been involved in professional practice lending for the last several years. He started in career in banking at Wells Fargo Bank in 1991 where he was a commercial loan officer and eventually a division manager for the SBA lending division.
